Community Fall Festival Recap - October 24, 2025
The spirit of togetherness filled the air as families and neighbors gathered at Ripley City Park for Ripley Housing's annual Community Fall Festival, a day packed with laughter, fun, and generosity. From the very first hayride to the final round of bingo, the park buzzed with excitement, music, and the joyful sounds of children playing. The event drew more than 200 people from Ripley and neighboring areas, filling the park with energy, laughter, and community spirit.
This year's event featured a variety of crowd-pleasing activities, including a hayride, cake walk, sack race, bingo, bounce house, and the beloved Petting Zoo, which quickly became the highlight of the day. Children lined up to ride miniature horses and pet bunnies, while parents snapped photos and joined in the fun.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, residents enjoyed a delicious meal of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks, all served fresh by volunteers and staff. The scent of grilled food mixed with laughter and music made the day feel like one big family picnic.
Beyond the laughter and games, the festival embodied the true meaning of community care. Ripley Housing distributed children's coats, socks, and hygiene bags. Several local organizations and businesses also set up booths to share clothing, household items, and other goodies-creating a joyful space where giving back was just as important as having fun.
Community spirit shined brightly through the support of local sponsors, who donated prizes and supplies to make the event a success. Businesses such as Touch of Class, Crafty Creation, Emilee's, Olympic Steak House, Dairy Queen, Domino's, and McDonald's contributed prizes, treats, and support that helped bring the event to life. The festival grounds were filled with activity and partnership, thanks to the participation of vendors and organizations, including UT Martin, Save the Children, Lauderdale County Medical, Delta, A&B Minis & Mobile Petting Zoo, Cloud 9 Inflatables, Partii Pop Up, BBQ King, Ripley Police Department, and Ripley Fire Department.
As the day came to a close, residents left with full hearts, happy memories, and a renewed sense of connection-a reflection of what can happen when the community comes together to support and celebrate one another.
